E-Learning
HIGH QUALITY AND EXTENSIVE TRAINING FOR KEY PROJECT MEMBERS AT A FRACTION OF THE COST OF OTHER AVAILABLE TRAINING COURSES
High-Point has produced a fourth e-learning training programme specifically for international contractors.
Your key project team members will be trained in:
- reviewing critically important provisions in FIDIC 2017 and their application to real project situations
- important principles surrounding issues commonly found in construction contracts
- the important differences between FIDIC 2017 and FIDIC 1999, including notices, record keeping, and evidence collection requirements
- the “must-do” activities to avoid prejudicing rights and entitlements
Who Should Be Trained?
This programme is designed specifically for training the contractor’s key project team members:
- project managers, construction managers and site engineers
- contract managers, contract administrators, quantity surveyors
- procurement, planning and cost control engineers
- design engineers and architects
- QA/QC, EHS and administration managers
Teaching Method
A series of modules each addressing themes important to contractors:
- self study e-learning using interactive and engaging web-based training materials. Learn at your own pace, select what you wish to learn and decide when you will learn it
- progress from Beginner, through Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced levels and receive Graduation Certificates at each level
Course Content
Each training course comprises 13 x 2-hour e-learning modules structured around ‘key topics’ rather than contract clauses – essential because FIDIC clauses are not stand alone - everything must be read together.
Other essential features include:
-
Stepping- Stone Questions
appearing at key points in each module to test comprehension of module content.
-
Module Quiz
5 multiple choice questions to test comprehension of the ‘module topic’.
-
Exhibits
containing explanatory information, flowcharts and practical examples.
-
‘Memory Joggers’
appearing in each module and containing reminders of important issues in the FIDIC contract.
-
‘Must-Do’ Checklists
essential to avoid prejudicing rights and obligations.
-
‘Benefits’ Lists
benefits to be obtained at both project and corporate level from improved understanding of the project team.
-
Graduation Test
based around a project timeline containing 10 real-life practical project scenarios (often combining issues from a number of modules).
